Kalahari desert stone belongs to the Jasper family and comes in beautiful brown and cream markings. Some also call it a picture jasper and it has many of the same properties. It is a connection to the earth, a grounding stone that can work well in meditation.
 
Carry it with you when dealing with crowded places for protection against negative vibrations. Kalahari desert stone would work well when working on lower chakras for its grounding properties. It is not listed in the official birthstones.
